I wanted one PDF program that could do the things I actually need at work without an account or an upload: fill in a form, sign it, put a password on the file and black out personal numbers before I send it on. So I made Aurora PDF. It reads, comments, fills in and signs PDFs, adds passwords with AES-256, stamps watermarks, and redaction removes the text under the mark instead of drawing a box over it. It also makes scanned pages searchable in English, Norwegian and Serbian, and exports to Word. The idea and every decision were mine: what it should do, how it should look and what needed fixing. The code was written with AI, which is what vibe coding means. The code is open under the AGPL-3.0: https://github.com/KoMAr38/aurora-pdf There is a ready version on the Microsoft Store for $14.99 with a 15-day free trial: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NNP86TFNNTR Short demo: https://youtu.be/u6DBlWCWLAg I would love feedback, especially on PDF forms and signatures that do not behave the way you expect. submitted by /u/Salt_Signature_6450 [link] [comments]
