Hi everyone, I'm a solo developer. I built Convyra, a file converter that works fully offline on Windows. Everything is converted on your own computer, so no uploads, no account, and no internet needed. It handles images, video, audio, and documents in batches (HEIC to JPG, PDF, DOCX, MP4, WEBP, and more). It's a web app packaged as an MSIX for the Microsoft Store. It's free, with an optional Pro upgrade. Most converter ads look the same, so I wanted to try something different. I designed three characters and wrote the little story myself: a superhero with a colander on his head who has no signal, a bouncer who only lets JPG in, and a paper spirit who converts files with a blink. To be open about it: the visuals were generated with AI tools (Google Flow), based on my character designs and script. The app footage in the middle is a real screen recording, made with the internet turned off. I did the editing, sound, and colour grading myself. Store page: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NJP2M76SMWL I'd really appreciate honest feedback, kind or critical: Does the ad make the app clear, or is it too weird? What would make you try an offline converter instead of a website? Thanks for watching, and I'm happy to answer questions about how I built it. submitted by /u/ahmettnq [link] [comments]
