My friend has lifted for years and logs every workout in Apple Notes. Lift, weight, reps, and next time he tries to beat it by one. That’s it. That’s progressive overload. I couldn’t read half his shorthand, but I got the idea. So I built Plus One, an iPhone and Apple Watch app that does exactly that: it shows you what you did last time and gives you one small target to beat today. Made the video above to tell the story. Everything in it is the real app. A few things I’m proud of: The watch can run the whole workout on its own, phone stays in the bag Imports from Strong and Hevy No account, your data stays in your iCloud It’s in public beta on TestFlight right now, App Store launch is planned for the end of October. Honest feedback is very welcome, especially on what feels confusing.
