M30 Higher-Low Setup Toward 4,200GoldOANDA:XAUUSDTiara_PrimeGoldGold is trading around 4,149 on the M30 chart after recovering from the recent sell-off. Price is forming a higher-low structure above the 4,130–4,138 area while pressing back toward the descending trendline. Market Drivers The latest U.S. CPI remains the main macro driver. September CPI increased 0.6% MoM and 3.7% YoY, while core CPI rose 0.3% MoM and 2.6% YoY. The stronger inflation reading initially supported the dollar and Treasury yields, putting pressure on Gold. However, the dollar has since eased, allowing Gold to recover. Markets are now watching upcoming U.S. economic data for further clues on the Fed’s next move. Market Context The M30 structure is gradually shifting from bearish continuation toward recovery. Gold has defended the recent low and created a higher-low base. The next major test is the descending trendline around 4,160–4,170, with 4,170.800 marked as the breakout trigger. A confirmed break above this area would strengthen the short-term bullish structure. Technical View Price is holding above the Higher-Low Support while recovering from the deeper sell-off. The key structure is simple: buyers need to push through 4,170.800 and hold the breakout on a retest. If successful, the next upside area is 4,190–4,200 resistance. The 4,130–4,138 area remains the first important support. A deeper correction could expose 4,103–4,110, while 4,073.396 remains the major swing low. Main Scenario The preferred scenario is a bullish breakout and retest. If Gold closes above 4,170.800 and successfully retests the breakout area, buyers could regain control toward: 4,170.800 → 4,190 → 4,199.482 A decisive loss of the higher-low support would weaken this recovery scenario. Key Zones 4,199.482 — Major Upside Resistance 4,170.800 — Breakout Trigger 4,130–4,138 — Higher-Low Support 4,103–4,110 — Deeper Structure Support 4,073.396 — Major Swing Low Tiara’s View Gold is attempting to turn the recent bearish structure into a short-term recovery. For me, 4,170.800 is the key level. A clean M30 breakout followed by a successful retest would open the path toward 4,190–4,199. Until that happens, the descending trendline remains an important resistance. The bullish structure stays valid while the 4,130–4,138 higher-low support remains protected.
