It should make life easier, create opportunities and empower people to pursue their ambitions. That is the thinking behind our NCBA NOW Zero Transaction Fees campaign. We recognize that our customers want banking that is convenient and offers greater value for their money. By removing transaction fees on selected services through our digital channels for the remainder of the year, we are encouraging customers to make greater use of digital banking while enjoying savings on everyday transactions,” Muyobo said.“Our message is simple: transact more, enjoy greater convenience and pay zero transaction fees on eligible transactions. We also welcome those who are not yet banking with NCBA to open an account and experience the benefits of banking with us.”Through NCBA NOW, customers can access a range of banking services using the mobile application, web platform and *212# USSD channel. These platforms allow customers to manage payments and other financial transactions without visiting a physical branch.NCBA said the campaign forms part of its broader efforts to improve the digital banking experience and make digital channels a more integral part of customers’ everyday financial activities. The bank expects removal of fees on selected services to help customers save money while also improving speed and convenience of routine transactions.Existing customers have been encouraged to take advantage of the offer by using NCBA NOW more frequently, while customers who have not actively used their accounts are being invited to reconnect with the bank. Prospective customers can also open an NCBA account and benefit from the offer on eligible transactions. The initiative reflects NCBA’s view that value of digital banking is not defined only by technology available, but also by how effectively it saves customers time, reduces costs, improves convenience and supports their financial ambitions. The launch also complements NCBA Bank’s ongoing SME campaign, “Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwererere,” which is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises by making banking and access to financing more affordable. Under the SME campaign, qualifying customers can benefit from free banking, zero transaction fees and zero arrangement fees on facilities such as business loans, invoice discounting, Local Purchase Order (LPO) financing and asset financing, subject to applicable terms and conditions.Small and medium-sized enterprises play a significant role in Uganda’s economy by supporting employment, entrepreneurship and household livelihoods.NCBA said that by addressing banking costs and providing tailored financial solutions, it aims to help SMEs manage their operations more efficiently, improve cash flow and focus on expanding their businesses.Muyobo added: “Our commitment to delivering value extends beyond individual customers to the businesses that drive Uganda’s economy. We understand that for SMEs, every cost matters and every opportunity to improve cash flow can make a difference.”“Through Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwererere, we are communicating a clear proposition to businesses: more value from their banking, with zero transaction fees and zero arrangement fees on facilities, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Together, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to making banking work harder for our customers, whether they are individuals managing their daily finances or entrepreneurs building businesses.”NCBA Bank said it will continue developing solutions that respond to customers’ changing needs, with digital banking playing an increasingly important role in providing convenient, accessible and cost-effective financial services. The campaign runs until December 31, 2026.
