Tottenham are set to face stiff competition in their pursuit of Real Madrid starlet Endrick, with Aston Villa joining the January race.Tottenham Hotspur certainly need to bolster their attack in the winter transfer window given the lack of depth at the striker position. At present, Dominic Solanke stands as the only recognised striker at the club, with Richarlison not registered to play in the Premier League after a falling out with the club. While Omar Marmoush can cover in that role, the Egyptian has yet to make a mark, having failed to score in the Premier League for Tottenham when deployed as a centre-forward.Omar MarmoushTottenham – Premier League (2026 – 2027)Appearances5Minutes Played365Average Rating6.62Shots4Shots on Target1Goals0Assists0Yellow Cards0Red Cards0Penalties Scored0Stats correct as of 12 October 2026.Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty ImagesTottenham linked with Real Madrid striker EndrickReports suggest Tottenham are considering a centre-forward this winter, and as a result the Lilywhites have been linked with several names, including Endrick of Real Madrid. The young forward has struggled for game time this season under Jose Mourinho, which has led to speculation about a move away, with Spurs touted as a potential destination. However, Tottenham are set to face competition, with Football Insider reporting that Aston Villa have entered the race for the striker.Villa were keen on a loan move in the summer but missed out, though they could return again in January.Pete O’Rourke explained: “If Endrick does become available in the January transfer window, there’ll be a number of clubs who would be interested in the Brazilian.“He’s struggled for minutes under José Mourinho this season, just four minutes in the first team as a substitute in one of the games, and obviously he is well down the pecking order.“It does seem that Aston Villa are very much interested in Endrick if he becomes available, and they could look to sign him in January.“Real obviously allowed him to go out on loan last year where he really caught fire for Lyon and maybe they’ll be open to doing that again.“If he does become available in the January window there’ll be a lot of clubs willing to take the Brazilian on loan, so I think it’ll be a pretty open race for his signature.”Spurs also tracking Igor MatanovicCompetition would certainly make it harder for Spurs to land Endrick, but not impossible. During the last winter window, Tottenham showed they were capable of landing their top targets, signing Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Marcos Senesi despite competition from elsewhere. This time, however, Endrick is not the only forward on Spurs’ radar, with Igor Matanovic also being closely monitored. Manchester United are also keen on the Freiburg striker. However, unlike Endrick, Matanovic has had regular game time, playing eight matches this season and scoring six goals while providing two assists.Football Insider reports that Real Madrid are now weighing up Endrick’s future and could be willing to let him leave on loan in January.READ MORE: Tottenham board not concerned about De Zerbi’s commitment to the Spurs projectThe post Aston Villa join Tottenham in Endrick race as Spurs may turn to Igor Matanovic instead appeared first on Spurs Web.
