The FotMob TOTW for the Premier League: Matchday 6’s Best XI features Henderson, Anderson, and Rice

Wait 5 sec.

By Ross KilvingtonGoalkeeper: Gianluigi Donnaruma The Italian was in imperious form against Liverpool, making six saves in total across the 90 minutes as his side triumphed 3-0.He also succeeded with 100% of his ground and aerial duels, while succeeding with his only dribble attempt and this marks his second inclusion in FotMob’s Team of the Week already this season.Right-Back: Abdoul OuattaraOuattara was making just his second Premier League start for Ipswich at the weekend, yet the defender ended up scoring the equaliser against Fulham in the dying minutes.Furthermore, the youngster also made four passes into the final third, wasn’t dispossessed and registered four defensive contributions throughout the clash.Centre-Back: Dara O’SheaWhile Ouattara brought Ipswich back level against the Cottagers, it was centre-back Dara O’Shea who netted the winner with just seconds left on the clock. His header gave Ipswich all three points, but it was his defensive display which justifies the defender making it into the TOTW.Indeed, he made nine defensive contributions along with seven recoveries, while the Irishman took 76 touches throughout, indicating that he was aiming to control the game from the back. His rating of 8.2 is the best of any defender in the league this weekend.Centre-Back: Bobby ThomasBobby Thomas registered a staggering 22 defensive contributions in the 4-1 win against Newcastle United, the most of any player on the field (does anyone have him in their FPL team?).There were 16 clearances among that total, showcasing his ability to consistently repel opposition attacks.Thomas was also keen on getting his side going in the final third, making nine passes into this area as he too celebrates making it into the TOTW for the second time this season.Left-Back: Riccardo CalafioriCalafiori came to Arsenal’s rescue against Leeds, netting the equaliser a few minutes after the Yorkshire side took the lead. That was his second goal of the season and for a left-back, his attacking stats weren’t bad at all, creating two big chances, registering two shots and taking four touches in the opposition penalty area.He will be vital for Mikel Arteta this term, especially given Arsenal’s issues at left-back in recent seasons.Midfield: Jordan HendersonJordan Henderson rolled back the years in Chelsea’s 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth. The Englishman not only scored twice and provided an assist, but he also took the joint-most shots (3) of anyone.Despite his age, Henderson managed 79 touches, signifying that he was still looking to get on the ball as much as possible and he even covered the most distance across both teams (11.9km) during the game. For his display, he received a 9.2 FotMob rating – the highest in this week’s TOTW.Jordan Henderson heatmap vs. BournemouthMidfield: Elliot AndersonAnderson is another regular in our TOTW and he is certainly filling the void left by Rodri at Manchester City. The midfielder dictated the tempo of the game, having the most touches (104) of any player, while also covering the most distance (11.4km) in the match.Defensively, Anderson won 11 of his 16 ground duels and registered eight defensive contributions, playing a massive part in City’s 3-0 win over Liverpool.Midfield: Declan RiceDeclan Rice’s withdrawal from the England squad might have been a blessing in disguise, allowing him a few weeks of rest and recuperation. He was superb against Leeds, despite Arsenal struggling at times to break their opponents down. Rice not only registered the most touches during the game (89), but the midfielder recorded the most defensive contributions with ten.Typically strong in his one-on-one battles, winning 75% of his ground duels, Rice offered plenty in the middle of the pitch and it was his assist that saw Bruno Guimarães net Arsenal’s winner.Attacking-Midfield: Kiernan Dewsbury-HallGiven his consistent performances for Everton, it is a surprise Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has taken until matchday six to make the TOTW.He saved his best performance for the tie against Hull, however, scoring and providing an assist along with creating four other chances for his teammates. The midfielder also made six passes into the final third and supplemented his attacking intent by recording ten defensive contributions. Certainly more than deserving of his 8.9 rating.Attacking-Midfield: Rayan CherkiRayan Cherki has been outstanding this season so far, scoring five times and grabbing two assists in nine matches.Against Liverpool, the Frenchman continued his fine attacking form, registering the most shots (5) and taking the most touches in the opposition box (8).He rounded off a famous City win at Anfield with a well-taken finish following some nifty footwork in the penalty area.Add in two chances created and winning 86% of his ground duels, it was an excellent all-round display by the midfielder. Premier League Team of the Week – Round Six!Who’s missing from this XI?  pic.twitter.com/U80XwXT3Tu— FotMob (@FotMob) October 13, 2026Centre-Forward: João PedroIt was perhaps no coincidence that Chelsea’s 3-0 loss against Brentford saw them play without the injured João Pedro. He returned for the win over Bournemouth and promptly scored twice to take his tally to five goals in just five Premier League games this term.Pedro was lively in the final third, drawing two fouls and giving Xabi Alonso’s men a different dynamic in attack. If Pedro can remain fit for the remainder of the campaign, he will once again be in the race for the Golden Boot.(Cover image from IMAGO)You can follow every game from the Premier League with FotMob this season – with in-depth stat coverage, including xG, shot maps, and player ratings.
