USDCHF ping-pong's between support and resistance targets

Wait 5 sec.

The USDCHF has been playing ping-pong between support and resistance over the last six trading days, confined to a range between 0.8290 and 0.8348. That is just 58 pips, with neither buyers nor sellers able to sustain a break.Yesterday, both extremes were tested. Support held near 0.8291, while resistance near 0.8348 capped the rally into the close.Today, sellers leaned against that topside resistance in the Asia-Pacific session and pushed the price toward two interim support targets:The 100-hour moving average at 0.8322.The 200-hour moving average at 0.83156.The low reached 0.8313, briefly dipping below both moving averages before quickly bouncing higher. Sellers had their shot below the moving averages, but could not sustain the break. That puts the moving averages in focus as the close barometer for buyers and sellers. Stay above both, and buyers have room to push back toward the 0.8348 ceiling. Move below both and stay below, and sellers would take more control, opening the door for another test of support near 0.8290.For now, the broader range remains intact. The moving averages help traders judge which side has the advantage within that range, but a sustained break of the floor or ceiling is needed to move beyond the ping-pong trading.
