Would there be an interest if an authentic Indonesian restaurant was in the greater stl area?

My wife and I are thinking of opening an Indonesian restaurant in the greater St. Louis area and wanted to put some feelers out to see if there would be interest in Indonesian cuisine. We have been thinking of a name for the restaurant which we have decided on Rasa Indonesia, which roughly translates to Indonesian cuisine that holds significant cultural value. Some of the main courses we are thinking would be Rendang (a slow cooked savory beef served over rice with a water spinach side) Bakso soup (beef tenon balls served as a soup with noodles and has potato carrots and shallots) Nasi goreng (traditional Indonesian fried rice) Ayam goreng (Indonesian fried chicken) Sop buntut (Indonesian oxtail soup) Appetizers would be Sate (chicken, beef, or duck skewers) Pempek (fried fish balls) Tempeh (fermented and fried soybean) Salads Pecel (a mix of vegetables in a sweet sauce) Ketoprak (tofu salad) Gado gado(mixed veggies with tempe, eggs and tofu lightly boiled and served with a nutty sauce) Karedok(similar to a spring or house salad served with a peanut sauce dressing) Desserts Martabak manis(a sweet pancake containing peanuts, bananas, and a sweet cheese and chocolate) Pisang goreng (fried banana served with ice cream) Kue putu (rice flower based cake that is filled with palm sugar and flavored with pandan leaves and steamed) submitted by /u/jardkor to r/StLouis [link] [comments]
