XAUUSD — H1 Pullback Inside Rising StructureGoldOANDA:XAUUSDAudrey_Quinn Market Pulse Gold is trading around 4,182, after recovering strongly from the recent demand area. Today’s move has been supported by a softer U.S. dollar, lower oil prices and a pullback in Treasury yields as markets wait for the September U.S. CPI report. Markets are currently pricing only about a 17% chance of an October Fed hike, while December remains much more heavily priced. CPI is the key catalyst for the next move. A hotter inflation reading could support the dollar and yields, while softer data could give Gold more room to continue higher. Financial Times What the Chart Says On H1, Gold has shifted into a recovery structure after breaking above the previous bearish trendline area. However, price is now approaching a descending trendline and the 4,200–4,212 resistance/OB area. The chart suggests a pullback may come before the next attempt higher. The first area I’m watching is 4,150–4,160. If sellers push deeper, 4,118–4,127 becomes the key demand area. Levels That Matter - 4,227 — Major resistance - 4,211–4,212 — H1 OB / key resistance - 4,180–4,190 — Current trendline area - 4,150–4,160 — Main pullback zone - 4,118–4,127 — Key demand - 4,100 — Deeper support My Main Plan My main scenario is a controlled H1 pullback from the current trendline area toward 4,150–4,160. If sellers continue to pressure price, the move could extend toward 4,118–4,127, where I would watch for a stronger bullish reaction. If buyers defend this demand, Gold could recover toward 4,180–4,190 and eventually challenge 4,211–4,227. I would rather wait for the reaction at the marked zones than chase price near resistance. If I’m Wrong A clean H1 break and hold above 4,211–4,212 would weaken the pullback idea and open the way toward 4,227. Final View The short-term structure is still constructive, but Gold is entering a technically important resistance area. 4,150–4,160 and 4,118–4,127 are the zones I want to see buyers defend before expecting another meaningful push higher. CPI can change the picture quickly, so confirmation matters.
