NFLX Faces a Reality Check: Can Ads Save Growth?Netflix, Inc.BATS:NFLXSakuraSeikoNetflix bounced from the $66.70 area, but I’m not convinced this is a proper reversal yet. Price is now struggling around $70–72, and the latest candles suggest buyers are having a hard time pushing higher. IMO, this rebound needs to prove itself before I turn bullish. On my 4H chart, $71.40–$72.10 is the key resistance zone, while $69.80–$70.10 is the near-term support area. A rejection at resistance followed by a clean break below support would strengthen the bearish case. If NFLX reclaims $72.10 and holds above it, though, I’d reconsider rather than stubbornly fight the trend. The bigger catalyst is the Oct. 20 earnings report. Netflix expects $12.86B in Q3 revenue and a 33.2% operating margin. Those numbers look solid on paper, but the market wants to know whether growth can stay strong as subscription expansion matures. The ad-supported plan is the real wild card. If advertising revenue delivers, NFLX could surprise the bears. If not, slowing growth could put its valuation under pressure. BTC is a different story, but the macro link is worth watching. Weak consumer results can add to concerns about spending and economic momentum, although one company’s earnings alone won’t determine Bitcoin’s direction. CPI remains the more immediate catalyst for BTC. My play: no blind pre-earnings bets. I’m watching the $71.40–$72.10 rejection zone and the $69.80–$70.10 support zone for confirmation. A breakdown would favor the bears; a decisive reclaim of resistance would weaken that thesis. Let price confirm the move first.
