I built a free browser game where you dig through a 3D haystack to find one needle

Wait 5 sec.

One needle, a huge haystack, and your bare hands. That's how Finding Needle in the Stack starts. While digging, you uncover coins, keys, rings and other junk. Sell what you find and work your way up to pitchforks, a leaf blower and a hay vacuum. Later, metal detectors help narrow the search, and auto-sifters can dig and sell their finds for you. You can carve tunnels and walk through them, but unsupported hay collapses. Your progress saves in the browser, so you can leave and come back to the same stack. It works on desktop and phones with touch controls. There's also a Purist mode: just your hands, with no upgrades or machines. I built it with Three.js and used AI tools to help with parts of the code. It's inspired by Needle In A Haystack Simulator; this is my free browser take on that premise. Play here: https://findingneedleinthestack.com/ I'd love feedback on the first few minutes: does digging feel satisfying before you unlock better tools, or does the first upgrade take too long? If you try it on a phone, how does it run? submitted by /u/Optimal-Shine9663 [link] [comments]
