Why is Chipotle burrito size such a roulette? (2 good vs 2 terrible locations in my neighborhood)

Wait 5 sec.

I have 4 Chipotles in my immediate neighborhood, and the discrepancy between them makes absolutely no sense. The Good 2: These locations make massive, absolute units of burritos. They can barely even close the tortilla. I gladly keep going back to them. The Bad 2: These locations make tiny, pathetic burritos. They are so small that I feel like I'm literally just eating a rolled-up tortilla. I have completely stopped going to them. Here is the thing: I know Chipotle isn’t a franchise and all stores are corporate-owned. So if they all have the same corporate training, why is there such a massive discrepancy in portion sizes? To make matters worse, I only eat veggie burritos with no meat and no guac. I refuse to spend $12+ for just rice and beans if the burrito is going to show up half-empty. Has anyone else noticed this in their area? Do some managers just strictly enforce "portion control" while others actually care about customer satisfaction? How can corporate-owned stores be this wildly inconsistent? submitted by /u/Eugene0185 [link] [comments]
