At 3pm on 16th October 2017, a mother and wife was blown up outside her home in an assassination that rocked Malta.Today, nine years after the brutal murder, people gathered to remember journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, standing right at the spot where her car was destroyed by a car bomb.The gathering started at 3pm with the ringing of bells to commemorate the moment Caruana Galizia was killed followed by a moment of silence.This was followed by the placing of flowers and tributes as a reminder of the horrible assassination which took place on our island.
