Death effects for any 3D model, exported as Godot SpriteFrames: shatter, dissolve, spawn

Wait 5 sec.

Pixor renders a 3D model as pixel-art sprites, and it has three ready-made reactions: Break apart (the frame is cut into chunks that fall and bounce), Dissolve (pixel by pixel from the top) and Materialise (the spawn). They work on any model, rigged or not, on every side, on the sprite's own palette. For Godot it writes a SpriteFrames .tres next to the sheet: every action and side is a named animation (Break_South, Dissolve_East...), so an AnimatedSprite2D plays them as they are. 95-second tutorial: https://youtu.be/jpgsMaLqOxk Free browser demo on the itch page, if you want to try it on your own model: https://frakassets.itch.io/pixor Happy to answer how it works: it's all deterministic shaders, no particles. submitted by /u/pixor_art to r/godot [link] [comments]
