Hey I’m sure this question gets asked on this sub often, so apologies in advance. I’m in my 3rd year of nursing school and thought I would start brainstorming specialties. I know the CVICU is CHALLENGING, but it seems to be a good place to develop skill and gain experience. - What does a typical shift look like for you? Pros and cons? - How much of the job is physical turning/repositioning? And poop/incontinence (please don’t judge)? - how many years did it take for you to feel comfortable in the CVICU? - do you see yourself in the CVICU in the long term? submitted by /u/Kitchen-Slice6644 [link] [comments]
