I spent 12 hours making a procedural short film about our complicated relationship with Jira

Wait 5 sec.

We’re building Backplane, and Jira comes up in almost every demo. Finding someone enthusiastic about using it is a different story. It’s a powerful tool. The relationship is just complicated. So I spent about 12 hours working with Codex on The Ministry of Tickets, a 45-second parody. The animation is procedural: characters, scenes, cameras and movement are defined in code. Getting the guards to actually walk and the hammer to obey physics took a few attempts. It ends with Backplane, so yes, it’s also an ad. We had some fun with it. All complaints must be filed as tickets. submitted by /u/matimatthews [link] [comments]
