Softpad: a small USB shortcut pad with labels on a shared screen

Wait 5 sec.

I made Softpad, a six-key USB macropad, and sell it assembled under Nuvko. The screen above the keys shows the labels assigned in a browser configurator. The names are set by the user; it doesn't discover commands from your apps. The hardware has six Kailh Choc Brown keys, a shared 1.3-inch OLED and a printed PETG case and stand. Saved shortcuts work without the companion running. Automatic app-profile switching needs the Mac or Windows companion. Which three to six actions do you actually repeat in an application, and how do you handle them now? The application and current workaround would be useful context. I used AI help with the code; this post is AI-assisted too. Product photos and details are on the site. Setup and test notes cover desktop Chrome/Edge configuration and the OS requirements. Pause or quit the companion before configuring. The Windows companion is unsigned, the Mac companion is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, and fresh-computer installation checks remain unfinished. submitted by /u/mefillo [link] [comments]
