A few weeks ago, I shared RigSight here. At the time, it was mainly a PC hardware monitoring tool. Since then, I've been working on turning it into something more useful. The problem I kept coming back to was this: when your PC starts overheating, slows down, or crashes, how do you figure out what actually happened? Most monitoring tools are great at showing you what's happening right now. But if something goes wrong an hour ago, yesterday, or after a driver update, that information can be much harder to piece together. So I've been building RigSight to help with that. It records your PC's activity locally, letting you look back at things like: Hardware history: CPU/GPU temperatures, usage and performance over time. Crash information: Investigate what your PC was doing around a crash or unexpected shutdown. App and network activity: See which applications have been using your resources and internet. System changes: Track changes that might help explain why your PC is behaving differently. The idea is to move beyond staring at live numbers and help you actually understand your PC's behaviour. RigSight is free, open source, and doesn't require an account or telemetry. Your collected data stays on your PC. I'm building this as a solo developer, and it's been exciting to see the project approach 100 users. There's still plenty to improve, and I'm continuing to build based on feedback. I'd love to hear from this community.
