Alvaro Arbeloa says he is not worried about his position as Fulham face into a pivotal Premier League meeting with Hull City this weekend. The Cottagers are yet to win any of their opening six games of the season, leaving them bottom of the table on just two points. Their only wins have come in the League Cup. Reports suggest that the Spaniard has two games to save his job, starting with Saturday’s must-win home game against Hull before travelling to Coventry City next week. But Arbeloa stressed that the focus should be on Fulham’s performance and not him as doubts over his future grow. Alvaro Arbeloa defiant as pressure mounts on Fulham boss“I am focused on my players, on my team. That is the most important thing,” he said at his pre-match press conference.“It is not about me, it is about the club, the players and the supporters. We are waiting for the game when the performance turns into the result.“It is not about my future. Like I said before, it is about the club and my players. They are looking for the reward and looking for a game where they can get a win for the supporters, they deserve it because of their support.“It is important for all of us. I think it is not about me.”Despite the ever-increasing pressure on his position, Arbeloa says he does not fear losing his job. “I never worry about my position,” said the former Real Madrid boss.“I don’t feel fear. You cannot be a coach if you feel it. You have to work, take the decision and you need to show confidence to your players.“For me I am so happy with many things that they are doing. I know it is not easy for them.“It’s not about my position, it is about Fulham’s position. That is the most important thing. Obviously it is just six games, but it is true we need points.”Read – The Premier League clubs with the biggest net spend in summer 2026See Also – Five of the best Premier League away kits in 2026/27Follow the Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post ‘I don’t feel fear’ – Arbeloa defiant as pressure mounts on Fulham boss appeared first on The Football Faithful.
