Wait 5 sec.

Ok taking the beggar’s side here: she didn’t tell anyone what to buy, and she even said she’s thrifting so I imagine she would remove items from the list or not directly ask about them as she found these things. My wife and I did the same thing with our baby shower registry. I’d constantly be looking out for deals and if I bought something, I took it off the list or marked it as bought so no one got us a duplicate. We had a range of items on our registry from just a few dollars to car seats and other higher end items. And yes, if I’m asking for a car seat, I’m going to ask for one that I’ve researched to determine its functionality and safety, so that probably makes it more expensive, but again nobody is obligated to buy any specific item. Also, yall seem to be mad that she’s not better at selling herself because people absolutely do donate baby items to expecting moms on the internet all the time without complaining or questioning why she can’t buy it herself. And sure, maybe she isn’t super resilient at her job and being overstimulated in an environment around small kids doesn’t bode well, but most of the accommodations she talked about wanting are really reasonable. When my 6 month old screams and I get overstimulated, I put on my headphones while holding her and I get frustrated and need a break too (I work from home so sometimes I need both hands free, and then my wife and I split evenings/nights). I enjoy the very infrequent night out without my baby, and while I have a couple of friends from work that I do talk to and hang out with every once in a while, I definitely wouldn’t want to be obligated to hang out with my coworkers that I’m not that close to either. And people making light of her autism diagnosis look silly. Autism can and does present symptoms differently in women than in men, and if she was legitimately diagnosed by a medical professional, it seems super ableist to say “well I can handle this so I don’t know why you’re complaining.” TL;DR not a beggar, call me when she demands strangers buy her a $1600 Snoo
