Hey, honestly, this started just as a small personal project. I wanted to save videos from Reddit, Tiktok or Twitter on Chrome. All I really wanted was a simple one click button to grab whatever video is playing on the screen without friction. I kept polishing it with help from Gemini and Claude. Since it turned out pretty useful for my own daily browsing, I decided put it on GitHub so anyone can use it for free. It's even been aproved on AlternateTo in under an hour lol One click downloads right over the video (or Shift + click for max quality). Works on Reddit (merges audio + video automatically), Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, and normal web videos. Shows you the actual resolution. Can extract just the audio or take a screenshot of the frame if you need it. I know there is a millions extensions like mine but I'd like to listen to some feedback. Two click max and you're done. GitHub: OmniSnap I’d love to get some feedback. Does it work smoothly, or did you run into any videos where it fails? Any suggestions are welcome submitted by /u/Darkpri_ [link] [comments]
