Video: Will Lankshear scores yet again as Dominic Solanke struggles for Tottenham

Wait 5 sec.

With each passing day, Tottenham’s decision to sell Will Lankshear looks worse and worse, and the striker shows no signs of slowing down.Lankshear joined Middlesbrough for £20m, including add-ons and at the time, some may have been forgiven for thinking it was a very good deal for Spurs. After all, the 21-year-old centre-forward had only made six first-team appearances for the Lilywhites, and he only managed 11 goals during his loan spell at Oxford United last season – a good haul but perhaps not a Premier League-ready haul. However, many who were aware of Lankshear’s potential felt that the North Londoners may be making a mistake, and they are now being proven right.Photo by Trevor Wilkinson/MI News/NurPhoto via Getty ImagesWill Lankshear scores his 10th goal in 13th appearance since leaving TottenhamLankshear has been prolific in the Championship so far this season, and he, by himself, has managed to outscore the entirety of the Tottenham team.W. De Zerbi insisted that Spurs have the firepower needed to score goals, and admitted that the Richarlison fiasco in the final days of the transfer window made the situation worse. When asked about Lankshear’s sale, the Italian said: “No, I think no [regrets]. Solanke is a good player, Marmoush is another good player and then there was the Richarlison situation which changed in the last five days without my decision. Three strikers, how many strikers do you want in the squad? Three strikers I think are enough. To answer about the player in Middlesbrough, no.”D. Of course, Solanke did eventually net an equaliser for Spurs, but fans will continue to question whether the correct striker decisions were made this summer.READ MORE: Tottenham injury update: Pedro Porro and Mudryk near return as Kulusevski set for November comebackThe post Video: Will Lankshear scores yet again as Dominic Solanke struggles for Tottenham appeared first on Spurs Web.
