Running In Time (c, 2, Gun Runner–Time and Motion, by Tapit) lived up to his name when closing from well off the pace at Belmont Park on Sunday to graduate in his career debut.A beat slow at the start, the chestnut lingered at the back as longshot Arequipe (Candy Ride {Arg}) led through pedestrian splits of :24.17 and :47.53. Still far back rounding the home turn, the son of GISW Time and Motion ground his way into contention along the inside through the stretch, kicked into another gear late and was up in time to head Bring Cash (Sea The Moon {Ger}). Suspend (Tapit) also closed from off the pace to take third. The winner's dam, GI QEII Challenge Cup scorer Time and Motion, is from the family of MGISW Brian's Time. The 13-year-old daughter of Tapit produced consecutive foals by Gun Runner the past two season–a filly in 2025 and a colt this term.A full-sister to Running in Time brought $1.05 million at this past summer's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale. 8th-Belmont, $100,000, Msw, 10-18, 2yo, 1mT, 1:36.10, fm, head.RUNNING IN TIME (c, 2, Gun Runner–Time and Motion {GISW, $967,719}, by Tapit) Sales history: $650,000 Ylg '25 FTSAUG.
