I currently work in a CVICU but I am going to start applying for another job soon (not because I don’t like my job, but because I am moving). I want to work with the most critically sick patients, but I just don’t know how to determine patient population before applying. I don’t necessarily need to be in another CVICU, just the sickest unit. What are some tips on determining the acuity of a unit you have never been to?
