New MyTripLog feature: rebuild a past trip from your existing photos

Wait 5 sec.

I’ve been working on MyTripLog, a travel-journaling app, and I recently added a feature I think changes how the app can be used. Originally, the obvious flow was: create a trip, add Waypoints while you travel, and build the story as you go. But that leaves out a very common situation: You already took the trip. You have hundreds of photos. You never logged any of it. So MyTripLog now lets you work backward: use the photos you already captured, assign the relevant places and dates, and reconstruct the trip as a timeline. That means the app can be useful for trips from months or even years ago, not just the next one you take. I’m the developer, and I’d be interested in feedback on the workflow — especially how much should be automatic versus manually reviewed. MyTripLog is free and available on iPhone and Android: https://mytriplog.app/ submitted by /u/Ok_Bar_5182 [link] [comments]
