Delhi has introduced a draft scheme to limit the number of e-rickshaws to 2.5 lakh. The scheme addresses issues such as traffic congestion, road safety, and pollution concerns related to e-rickshaws. It requires all e-rickshaws to be registered as transport vehicles and obtain an E-Rickshaw Compliance Certificate. Owners will face limits on how many e-rickshaws they can operate based on their residency status.
