Hey all! I'd built some Glance pages to follow science and tech news, and colleagues turned out to be interested too. One thing led to another, and I kinda overengineered it into okaeri. okaeri is a minimal homepage that runs locally. It pulls in feeds you pick during an onboarding process (it comes with a catalog of papers, blogs and news sources), and a small embedding model on your machine learns from what you open, like and hide to put the most relevant stories on top. Your reading history stays on your device. It runs on macOS, Linux & Windows (Windows needs some more testing though!). Fully open source (AGPL), source code and UI examples can be found here!
