With 50 years of distinguished experience in Africa’s insurance and reinsurance sector, Steve Kyerematen’s career blends technical expertise, corporate leadership, and national service.From 1997 to 2007, he served as Regional Manager and Member of Operational Management for the Munich Reinsurance Group and Munich Mauritius Re, based in Accra, 1997, with territorial responsibility for West and Central African insurance markets.Diplomat and StatesmanBetween his careers with the Munich Re Group and the Activa Group, Mr. Kyerematen was called to serve his nation, Ghana, as High Commissioner to Malaysia, with concurrent accreditation to five South-East Asian countries including Thailand and the Philippines. In this role, he deepened Ghana’s diplomatic and economic ties across Asia.Industry LeaderUntil 2014, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Insurers Association.
