I train for triathlons, and I also vibe code way too much, and those two things constantly fight each other. So I built Shelldon, a small pixel hermit crab with a CRT monitor for a shell. He sits in a tiny always-on-top window next to my editor. He has two moods. When I work out, he pulls my Garmin training load and gets bigger, brighter, and his shell hardware slowly upgrades. When I’ve been coding for a long stretch without a break, he starts getting worried, and after an hour he tells me to go touch grass. Under the hood, there’s a “screen debt” score from 0 to 100. It goes up during long coding sessions and comes back down when I take breaks, finish a workout, or log time outside. Everything runs locally. The coding tracker only records event types and timestamps, never prompts, file paths, or code. I built most of the recent version with Cline, which handled merging two of my older projects into this one. It’s open source and still rough around the edges. I’d love feedback, especially on whether the nagging is helpful or just annoying. https://github.com/victory-c/fitpet submitted by /u/No_Collection9150 [link] [comments]
