Nick Woltemade was buoyed by his display against Celta Vigo, believing it was his best game in a Juventus shirt so far.Woltemade, who joined Juve on loan from Newcastle United this summer, helped the Bianconeri defeat Celta 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday. After going behind to Hugo Alvarez's opener, Woltemade volleyed in an equaliser after half-time before Randal Kolo Muani came off the bench to score a 92nd-minute winner. It was the first time Juve had won a match in any competition after trailing since November, when they defeated Cagliari 2-1 in Serie A.Woltemade recorded the most shots (four) and touches in the opposition box (12) in the match, while also creating an impressive seven chances for his team-mates (match-high).The German international has yet to score in Serie A, but has now netted in both of his Europa League appearances for Juve after scoring a penalty against NEC on MD1.Woltemade now hopes to build on his strong performance and is eyeing more minutes alongside Kolo Muani."I think this was my best game for Juve. Obviously I can do better, but I am happy with the goal," Woltemade told Sky Sport Italia.Your goalscorers  https://t.co/gSXza0smjn— JuventusFC  (@juventusfcen) October 16, 2026"A goal always helps confidence, of course, that is important for a striker, and I want to keep getting stronger."I like playing with Kolo. When there is just one centre-forward, the defenders can focus on just marking one and it is easier for them, whereas with two of us we can divide up the space more."I am a good player, Kolo is a good player, so the decision is up to the coach, but as long as we keep scoring goals, everyone will be happy."Juve are top of the league phase after MD2, sitting ahead of second-place Bayer Leverkusen on goals scored. The Bianconeri are back in Serie A action on Sunday, when they host high-flying Lazio. The post Woltemade buoyed by ‘best game for Juventus’ appeared first on SoccerNews.
