Melat KirosRadical Colorado Democratic congressional nominee Melat Kiros appeared on PBS’s “Firing Line” this weekend and attempted to downplay the very real takeover of the Democrat Party by the radical communists from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) faction.Kirosn a 29-year-old Democratic Socialist, ousted 15-time incumbent Democrat Rep. Diana DeGette in Colorado’s 1st District in July’s primaryKiros, who was born in Ethiopia, is backed by the DSA.DSA is making inroads within the DNC, and the Democrat Party is in the midst of a communist takeover. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently warned that these radicals are “not here to negotiate, they’re here to destroy.”In June, Democratic Socialist DC City Councilwoman Janeese Lewis George declared victory in the seven-way primary to replace Mayor Muriel Bowser for DC Mayor. In New York, the takeover has begun happening at breakneck speed, with Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) backed candidates scoring big including Claire Valdez (NY-7, Brooklyn/Queens), Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13, Upper Manhattan/Bronx) and Brad Lander (NY-10, Brooklyn/Manhattan).But Kiros brushed aside any concerns as just ‘noise.’‘Firing Line’ host Margaret Hoover asked Kiros how she addressed criticism that some DSA members, at least half of its national leadership, openly identify as communists.“Yeah. Well, some members of the Democratic Party are proudly proclaiming themselves as capitalists, and it’s a big tent, right?” Kiros, who says she is not a Communist herself, said.“But again, at the end of the day, it’s up to the voters, right?”“Until a self-proclaimed communist actually wins an election, then it’s just noise from the Republican Party.”“There’s no one who’s actually winning with that.”Watch:Watch the latest video at foxnews.comAmong their radical proposals, DSA wants to fundamentally change the structure of the republic, including eliminating the President, the Senate, and the Supreme Court, and replacing them with an executive and judiciary chosen by, and subordinate to, Congress. From DSA’s website:For the working class to govern, we need a new political system. End political corruption and legalized bribery: get rid of lobbyists, dark money, and Citizens United, and publicly finance all elections. Abolish the Electoral College. Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress. The post Radical Colorado Dem Congressional Nominee Calls Warnings of Communist Takeover of Party by Democratic Socialists of America ‘Noise’ (Video) appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
