Airbnb host from LA walks into her rental after a birthday stay. She finds a broken bed, missing blankets, and food on the floor: ‘the worst of the worst’

Being an Airbnb host is not for the faint of heart. While the vast majority of guests are respectful to the owner’s property, there are plenty of TikToks showing what a disrespectful group of guests can do to a property, and this case might be the worst example yet. We often see the guests’ side in bad Airbnb situations; the guest isn’t always in the right. Airbnb host and TikToker “janelleivy” shared a video showing the devastating aftermath of what appears to have been a birthday celebration held by guests at her property. “You guys are not ready for the type of horrible guests we had,” she claims, before going on to label her guests as “disrespectful people who don’t care about others’ things.” Janelle then ventures into her property to show the chaos and destruction allegedly left by her previous guests. As she steps inside, the mess is immediately obvious: litter is strewn across the floor, and empty beer bottles are stuffed into plant pots like trash cans.  @janelle._.ivy I didn’t even show you the backyard, they stole so many of our things and to see my mom hurt and crying because of the damage is horrible @airbnb @airbnbexperiences #airbnb #disrespectful #viral ♬ original sound – janelleivy “Mind you, how disgusting this is and disrespectful to do this to someone else’s property,” Janelle notes while showing the aftermath of what appears to have been a birthday party. “They actually came here to ruin our house!” she claims after noting how not a single piece of trash had been picked up. It also looks as though not a single item in the house was left untouched, with a glass table shattered downstairs and blinds and a bed broken upstairs too; it’s difficult to imagine what the guests were even doing to cause so much damage. Janelle publicly shames her Airbnb guests Understandably angry at the apparent damage caused by her guests, Janelle decides to publicly shame them, sharing photographs of them at the end of her video. “Don’t worry, I will post their face because I think that we need to bring back public shaming.” Viewers shared Janelle’s disgust, criticizing the inconsiderate guests and encouraging the Airbnb host to hit them with a heavy fee for all of the damage. “I hope you slapped them with A EVERYTHING FEE.” One commenter wrote; another recommended filing a police report, “Because this is destruction of property at this point.” Plenty of viewers wanted to know what happened next, and thankfully, Janelle did not disappoint, returning a few days later with an update on the situation. She confirmed that a police report had been filed and that Airbnb had reached out to her and her mother in part due to the viral TikTok she posted. Janelle also claimed that the damage was so bad they had to cancel future reservations.  People on TikTok have also vowed to try to track down the guests, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility for TikTok, but so far it seems they’ve had no luck.
