Jadon Sancho will struggle to find a club that’s going to offer him £50,000 a week – it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s retired in two years.That is the opinion of talkSPORT Breakfast host Gabby Agbonlahor, who admitted he is worried about the winger’s current situation.Sancho’s immediate future is unclear following mixed success on loan at Aston Villa last seasonGettySancho is available to join a new team as a free agent after he was released by Manchester United at the end of his contract in June.The 26-year-old has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan at three different clubs in Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa.None of the trio successfully turned Sancho’s move into a permanent stay, with the attacker now assessing his options in free agency.The 23-cap England international is currently keeping fit using the facilities at 10th-tier Flixton FC – who have confirmed it isn’t a trial.Sancho was the subject of a surprise enquiry from Qatari side Al Rayyan, while he has also been linked with a third return to Germany.‘Not surprised no one’s gone in for him’On talkSPORT, Jeff Stelling questioned whether Sancho is in danger of disappearing totally from the game with no transfer imminent.His Breakfast co-host Agbonlahor replied: “I do worry about Sancho. I do worry a lot about him, Jeff, because it didn’t work for him, obviously, at Manchester United. “It did work at Dortmund. It didn’t work at Chelsea. Come to Aston Villa last season, everyone thought this manager, Unai Emery, can produce miracles. “But he couldn’t produce a miracle with Jadon Sancho. Had two decent halves during his time at Aston Villa. Sancho featured in 39 matches, mostly from the bench, and registered just one goal and two assists, but did win the Europa LeagueGetty“Couldn’t get past a player,” Agbonlahor continued. “Lacked the pace. Lacked the end product as well. 26 years of age and a free transfer. “And there’s always a rule in football, Jeff. If you’re coming down to your last year, you better have a good year. “Otherwise, your next move, no matter who you are, is not going to be at the level that you expect. Especially Jadon Sancho, who struggled in multiple seasons.“Last season, under contract, to be so poor at Aston Villa like he was. It just hasn’t worked for Jadon Sancho. “I do worry about him now. Could he be one of those players that’s retired at 28? It wouldn’t surprise me.”
