The seizure was made by the Excise STF-B team led by Sub-Inspector Balaraju, who intercepted a van travelling from Hyderabad towards Devarakonda based on specific information.During the inspection, officials found jaggery and alum worth an estimated ₹2.5 lakh concealed in the vehicle. Both materials are commonly used in the preparation of illicitly distilled liquor. The Excise Department registered a case against two persons and seized the vehicle used for transporting the consignment.The accused were identified as Angothu Tarun and Patlavath Lal Krishna, both residents of the Devarakonda area.
