BTC: How I Optimized My 63,785 Channel Short?Bitcoin / TetherUS PERPETUAL CONTRACTBINANCE:BTCUSDT.Pkiv1nReview how I adjusted my BTC short from the top of the descending channel toward its bottom, originally set at 63,785 entry, 61,570 TP, and 64,460 SL, after assessing trend structure, Volume Profile, VWAP and EMAs, resistance, and order blocks. 🛫 ENTRY I moved my entry from 63,785 to 65,400 because 63,785 sat near the 14-day Volume Profile POC at 63,819.98 and just above the tested 1h support at 63,620-63,779, where I would be shorting accepted value and active support. At 63,785, I would also be trading against the 1h and 15m uptrends, the fresh 15m bullish change of character at 63,779, the 1h 50 EMA at 63,541, and the 1h 200 EMA at 63,718. I would also be shorting above the daily and weekly 15m VWAPs at 63,811 and 63,454. My 65,400 sell limit instead sits inside the 4h resistance at 65,391.3-65,722.5 and the 1h resistance at 65,391.3-65,780, immediately above the fresh 15m bearish order block ending at 65,391.3, so I align the short with the 4h downtrend. 💰 TAKE-PROFIT I raised TP from 61,570 to 63,486.9, placing my exit immediately above the fresh 15m bullish order block at 63,428.8-63,486.9 instead of depending on a break through that demand. The original 61,570 target sat below the 14-day VAL at 63,035.6 and required breaks through the 63,290.2-63,371.2 order block, the 62,915.9-63,109.7 fair value gap, the 62,690.2-62,746.8 order block, and multi-timeframe support. 🛡️ STOP-LOSS I moved my stop from 64,460 to 65,900 because 64,460 was below the 1h resistance at 64,636-64,715.9 and the larger 65,391.3-65,780 supply, where a normal retracement could stop me before the short thesis was invalidated. My 65,900 stop is 177.5 above the 4h resistance high at 65,722.5 and 120 above the 1h resistance high at 65,780, placing invalidation beyond the overlapping supply while the 15m ATR is rising at 172. ⚖️ RISK-TO-REWARD With entry at 65,400, SL at 65,900, and TP at 63,486.9, I risk 500 for a potential reward of 1,913.1, improving my R from 1:3.28 to 1:3.83. I keep the return asymmetric while positioning my entry, invalidation, and exit at levels supported by the market structure.
