Manager raised her voice, handled my items carelessly, and spoke unprofessionally in front of customers. I’ve filed a corporate complaint and am waiting for a response. This isn’t the first location I’ve had issues with. #DollarTree #CustomerServiceFail #RetailExperience #DoBetter #StoreManagement.” Manager is seen pulling items and explaining store policy on pricing The video was filmed at the checkout counter. She says, “This one right here, these boxes right here, got all this stuff in here. Take them off, get them out of there.” Dollar Tree’s troubles go beyond checkout disputes, as a Kansas woman says a cashier’s racist comments followed her penny deals.  She then explains what the store plans to do about a pricing issue, saying, “Then we going to get a scanner, we going to go scan everything in the store. So this stuff won’t happen anymore.” The off-screen customer responds by pointing out, “There’s still more stuff on the floor.” The manager replies, “Oh, I know it is, but that’s why we going through everything. We going through inventory tomorrow too.” The customer then says, “Yes, ma’am. I was just trying to let y’all be helpful, that’s all.” The chain’s checkout experiences can extend beyond pricing disputes, as a Philadelphia woman was escorted to the back of the store after buying a pregnancy test.  The manager goes on to explain the store’s position on the mispriced items. She says, “Cuz they already, we, they already told us we got to honor it, and that’s it and that’s all. But we got to take it off the shelf. We got to go behind y’all and get the s–t off the shelf, cuz we don’t sell one-cent items in Dollar Tree.”  She continues scanning and bagging the remaining items, including the green boxes, before stepping away from the register. Another employee in a green shirt briefly appears in the background. The video’s caption states that the poster has filed a corporate complaint over the incident and is waiting for a response. Viewers had mixed reactions in the comments section. One person wrote, “that is very unprofessional of her.” Another asked, “why do employees get so angry over this. it’s not like it’s coming out of their pockets.” Not all comments sided with the customer. One viewer defended the manager, writing, “She was not being rude. She was just stating policy doing her job.” Another commenter pushed back on the store itself, saying, “If they were doing their jobs, the items wouldn’t be on the floor!” Dollar Tree has not publicly responded to the video.
