India’s electric vehicle market reached a record in July, with registrations rising over 66% year-on-year to around 3.3 lakh units, driven by high fuel prices, wider model availability and expanding dealer networks. Electric two-wheelers crossed 2 lakh monthly registrations for the first time, led by TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto.
