The BJP candidate Satish Govindbhai Patel won the Manjalpur bypoll in Vadodara. Patel defeated his Congress challenger Bhikhabhai Rabari by a significant margin of votes. The saffron party retained its stronghold after all counting rounds were completed. Rabari alleged misuse of government machinery and violations of the election code. The BJP's strength in the Gujarat Assembly now stands at 162 members.
