The Reserve Bank of India has appointed Monisha Chakraborty as Executive Director. She will now oversee foreign exchange and financial markets regulation departments. Chakraborty brings over three decades of experience from her career at the central bank. Her previous roles included Chief General Manager-in-Charge in the Department of Supervision. She holds degrees in Economics and Business Economics from Delhi University.
