When allegations of abuse surfaced against Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner (D), Democrats wasted little time pushing him off the ticket.Republicans have shown no similar urgency when it comes to Rep. Max Miller (R-OH).Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno Miller, has accused him of putting a gun to her head during an argument.Stephanie Grisham, a former White House press secretary who previously dated Miller, has also accused him of physical abuse.The allegations are serious enough that Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) — Emily Miller’s father — said Miller does not belong in Congress and needs psychological help.Republican leaders still have a narrow window to act. They could pressure Miller to withdraw before Wednesday’s deadline, allowing the party to replace him with a candidate carrying considerably less baggage.But so far, Moreno appears to be the only prominent Republican calling for Miller to go.
