Emergency action plans are updated for 735 of 6,598 specified dams nationwide. Maharashtra has the most dams, with 65 having updated emergency plans. Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat also have many dams with fewer updated plans. Assam and Nagaland have updated plans for all their dams. The National Dam Safety Authority maintains this dam information.
