Michael Carrick has been impressed by the speed at which summer signing Andrey Santos has settled in at Manchester United.Santos signed for Manchester United from Chelsea for a fee of £50m earlier this summer and has featured prominently during the pre-season campaign. The Brazilian played 82 minutes during the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm on Saturday, with Carrick praising the 22-year-old after the game.He called Santos a selfless player and said it feels as if the midfielder has been playing for Manchester United for a ‘long time’. “The way he approaches games, the way he plays for his teammates – he doesn’t play for himself,” Carrick said.“He reads the game very well, is very intelligent and has settled in well here. It seems like he has been playing here for a long time. He is still young and has a lot more to contribute, which is very exciting for us.”Santos is set to form part of a new midfield group at Manchester United this season, alongside fellow recruit Youri Tielemans. United remain keen to sign a third midfielder this summer if possible, following Manuel Ugarte’s injury and Casemiro’s departure for Inter Miami.Follow the Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post Carrick impressed by Andrey Santos adaptation at Manchester United appeared first on The Football Faithful.
