Although I guess that's not very relevant here.(Image credit: Disney)The Owl House Characters Live On In New Graphic Novel From Creator Dana TerraceThe Long-Lived King: An Original Owl House Graphic Novel by Dana Terrace, Mikki Crisostomo and Daun Han - Release Date: September 29, 2026Similarly to the strangely truncated way Gravity Falls wrapped its run, The Owl House was granted a third and final season from Disney that, instead of normal episodes, was released as three extended specials that saw Luz, Amity and the others keeping Boiling Isles safe from the dangerous Belos and The Collector. It seemed like it'd be the last time fans would meaningfully connect with all the magical characters, but creator Dana Terrace thankfully didn't let that happen. A new adventure awaits the group in The Long-Lived King, which sees the skull-headed King coping with the knowlege that he's destined to outlive everyone he knows, and deciding to use one of the Collector's devices to zap out his negative memories. Unfortunately, he also accidentally wipes out Luz's memories, forcing him and Eda to team up with The Collector to get Luz's memories back. Something that always bothers me is when projects release post-finale stories that are either prequels or are set during the main narrative's timeline, since it necessarily means that the newly established events had already happened in characters' minds without anyone ever referring to them. So join me in snatching up both books as soon as they're released, and I absolutely expect to have plenty to write about after reading them. Assuming the Gravity Falls Gossiper's Toby Determined doesn't beat me to it. I think everyone reading this would agree the best way to spend one's time until both boooks release in September is to just stream all the episodes over and over again via Disney+ subscription.
