Trains short-terminated due to landslip between Yedakumari and Shrivagilu stations - The HinduPublished - August 03, 2026 07:46 pm IST - BelagaviRishikesh Bahadurdesai B 9727Some trains were short terminated owing to a landslip between Yedakumari and Shrivagilu stations of the Mysuru Division.Train No. 16585 SMVT Bengaluru-Murudeshwar Express from SMVT Bengaluru was short terminated at Hassan on August 1, instead of Murudeshwar station and partially cancelled between Hassan and Murudeshwar.Train No. 16511 KSR Bengaluru-Kozhikode Express from KSR Bengaluru on August 1 was short terminated at Hassan instead of Kozhikode station and partially cancelled between Hassan and Kozhikode.Train No. 17377 Vijayapura-Mangaluru Central Express from Vijayapura on August 1 was short terminated at Hassan instead of Mangaluru Central station and partially cancelled between Hassan and Mangaluru Central.Train No. 16595 KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Express from KSR Bengaluru on August 1 was short terminated at Sakleshpur instead of Karwar station and partially cancelled between Sakleshpur and Karwar.Train No. 16586 Murudeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express from Murudeshwar was short terminated on August 1 at Subrahmanya Road instead of SMVT Bengaluru station and partially cancelled between Subrahmanya Road and SMVT Bengaluru.Train No. 16512 Kozhikode-KSR Bengaluru Express from Kozhikode on August 1 was short terminated at Kabaka Puttur instead of KSR Bengaluru station and partially cancelled between Kabaka Puttur and KSR Bengaluru.Train No. 17378 Mangaluru Central-Vijayapura Express from Mangaluru Central on August 1 was short terminated at Subrahmanya Road instead of Vijayapura station and partially cancelled between Subrahmanya Road and Vijayapura.Restoration work is under way at the affected location where repeated landslips have occurred due to heavy rainfall.Additional earthmovers and resources were being deployed to expedite the restoration process.SWR officials are continuously monitoring the situation and coordinating efforts to ensure safe and efficient restoration of train operations. Inconvenience to the passengers is deeply regretted.
