First pic is from 2021 and second pic is from today. When I was 17, my mom took me to a dermatologist because she noticed my hair was looking thinner. The derm took one glance at my scalp and said yeah, might be AGA. Go get some rogaine. I, of course, didn’t do that. How could I have AGA? Both of my parents are in their 60s with beautiful, full heads of hair. And I guess I felt that by starting the rogaine, it would really make the hair loss a reality? Teen logic. But unfortunately, I have lost a lot of hair overall since then. It is not nearly as thick and dense as it used to be. But I noticed today that my part actually looks better than it did 5 years ago? I’m questioning whether I actually have AGA or something else and if I should see a dermatologist again who might give me a more definitive answer. Is it normal for hair to improve like this with AGA? I am still not on rogaine or any type of DHT blocker. Any thoughts welcome! submitted by /u/kanojo_aya [link] [comments]
