Auqib Nabi earned his first national call-up, replacing the injured Jasprit Bumrah for the Sri Lanka Test series. He impressed with 104 wickets in the last two Ranji Trophy seasons. Several other players are also sidelined due to various injuries. The Test series against Sri Lanka begins on August 15th at Galle. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.
