A Utah woman is accusing her father of abandoning his family, having an affair, and later building a social media following with the woman she says was involved in the relationship. TikTok creator Danielle Habel (@danielle.habel) made those allegations in a series of emotional TikTok posts, viewed millions of times, including claims that her father sent her a cease-and-desist letter. Habel captioned her first post, “My hands are shaking and I recorded this 3 times and forgot to say half the crazy parts.” In the video, Habel framed her story as a “put a finger down if” trend while describing what she alleges happened to her family. According to Habel, her parents had been married for nearly 30 years and shared a longtime goal of owning a farmhouse on acreage. She said her father eventually fulfilled that dream when the family moved onto a 40-acre property with a farmhouse, wraparound porch, and farm animals. Then she said her father accepted a job out of state Habel then said the situation changed after her father accepted a job in another state. She claimed he persuaded her mother to relocate by saying they could keep the Utah property while exploring the new opportunity. According to Habel, only a few months after the move, her father began an affair with one of his employees. She alleged that he initially denied the relationship. Eventually, he admitted it and told her mother he planned to remain with the other woman. @danielle.habel My hands are shaking and I recorded this 3 times and forgot to say half the crazy parts #whothefdidimarry #divorcedparents #cheatinghusband #cheatingstorytime #angrydaughter ♬ original sound – DanielleHabel Habel further claimed that after her mother returned to Utah with children who were still in high school, her father stopped providing meaningful financial support before their divorce became final. She said the family ultimately had to leave the farmhouse and move into her small apartment while she and her husband tried to help support them. “I start begging your dad for any type of money that he could possibly send your mom, knowing he has a lot of money,” Habel said in the video. “And he refuses. He sends nothing or very little.” She said the divorce was finalized more than a year later. According to Habel, her father then married the woman she alleges he had the affair with. She claimed the couple purchased another farm property complete with horses and other animals. Habel said watching their new life online has been particularly difficult because it resembles the future her mother had hoped to build. “All the things that were your mom’s dream are now suddenly this woman’s dream,” she said. Her dad is allegedly also an influencer She also claimed her father and his wife now operate a TikTok account where they regularly post videos about farm life and livestream while viewers send gifts that can be converted into money through TikTok’s monetization system. Habel added, “And that’s not even a quarter of it.” In two follow-up TikToks, Habel said she later received a cease-and-desist letter after sharing her allegations. She did not indicate that a lawsuit had been filed. Some commenters claimed they had identified the family involved and alleged that Habel’s father posted a response denying her account.
