LittleJoe Mpologoma, born Kizza Kimbugwe, has opened up about the painful childhood experiences that pushed him onto the streets of Kampala, recounting the emotional journey that shaped his life.Speaking about his upbringing, the renowned media personality revealed that he was initially living with his mother in Kasubi, Lubya, before his father decided to send him to Nakawuka village.However, life in the village quickly became unbearable. Mpologoma said he realized he did not belong there after spending six days in the same clothes without anyone noticing or showing concern.At first I was staying with my mom in Kasubi, Lubya, then my dad decided I should be taken to the village in Nakawuka. I arrived with my basket and placed it somewhere. What shocked me was that for six days, no one noticed I was still wearing the same clothes I had arrived in. That’s when I knew I was in the wrong place.Determined to return to Kampala, Mpologoma said he seized an opportunity when his father visited him. After asking for school books and supplies, his father handed him Shs3,600.While they were still seated talking, I quietly picked up my basket, slipped out through the back door, passed through the bush and started my journey back to Kampala. I couldn’t bear living in the darkness anymore.Upon reaching Kampala, he headed to Bukesa, where his mother worked as a food vendor. Instead of celebrating his return, she became terrified, fearing the consequences of his unexpected arrival.When I told my mother I had returned, she said I had put her life in danger.
