There will be a dedicated Nintendo Direct looking at the Switch 2 game Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on August 4, 2026. This will air at 7am PT/10am ET on the official YouTube channel, and a placeholder is live. It will be the biggest look at the game ahead of its September 17, 2026 debut. The announcement and placeholder don’t offer any spoilers for the game. It only notes that new information about the title will be shared and that the presentation, as a whole, will last for 20 minutes. This could mean we’ll see more of the four protagonists shared so far, who are Cai, Dietrich, Leda, and Theodora. It also might mean more insights into combat mechanics and the Heroic Games the four are competing in during the title. While we haven’t seen too much about Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave in English, Nintendo’s regularly updated the social media account in Japan with new details about characters, locations, and mechanics. It used that to go over the different weapon types we’ll see. At the moment, it’s been going over members of the supporting cast.Go Ad-Free With Siliconera+View the site with no ads, be able to provide direct feedback about what we cover, and be automatically entered into our monthly PC game giveaway.Join Siliconera+ Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will come to the Switch 2 on September 17, 2026, and the dedicated Nintendo Direct for it will air at 7am PT/10am ET on August 4, 2026.
